Notre Dame, An Homage APRIL 2021KC native Julia Willard has lived in France for over 10 years, photographing its beautiful monuments and picturesque street scenes. On April 15, 2019, she stood with thousands of Parisians and watched from a nearby bridge as Notre Dame burned for hours. Not three days earlier she had been photographing the beautiful cherry blossoms in its neighboring garden, just beneath the rose window. Despite its current fragile state, it remains one of her favorite Parisian photographic subjects and she looks forward to it being returned to its glory.
